This is real life, not just fantasy.
Rami Malek, earlier known for playing the socially anxious Elliot Alderson on Mr. Robot, is playing the Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic, Bohemian Rhapsody and boy, has the internet running down the memory lane.
Malek, previously known for his ethnically correct role in the Night at the Museum franchise as the Egyptian prince Ahkmenrah, is now Mercury, the queer lead of the legendary band, Queen. Malek looks and to say, feels, like Mercury, with his flamboyant persona in the beginning to the hunk with a glorious mustache in the later years.

The movie takes us on a journey of the band’s formation and their journey milling out iconic songs up to their legendary and, voted, greatest performance in rock history, at Live Aid in 1985. A musical drama set to the tones of an era yet to be forgotten, the 70’s. The movie might give an insight in life of the man himself, and what his musical view brought to the millions of musicians who followed.
The trailer itself is all kinds of beautiful, with snippets of band’s songs such as ‘Another One Bites the Dust’, ‘Killer Queen’ and the late night party anthem, ‘We Will Rock You’. The trailer also shows ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ in pre-production, with the entire band recording the operatic part.
The movie is set for a November 2nd release, so yeah, it’s going to be some long 6 months.
P.S.: If you can’t stand people singing in the theater during the screening, then this movie is not for you.
